I (anna_darkholme) was inspired by gun_hee's journal - his pictures always make me smile. So I decided to take the crazy step off the deep end and give my cats their own journal. I most likely will be too lazy for a picture a day, so I'll most likely post when I feel like it.

I personally have 4 cats:
Simba - 9 year old (birthday around March 15th, 1999) orange tabby. She was born to me from my other cat as my family was quite ignorant about spaying/neutering back then (I am a huge advocate of it now). She has a permanent disposition that looks like she just ate sour grapes. More than anything, she loves to be near me. She's the only one I let into my bed room at night (well, occasionally Bambi also). She is very rarely more than 6 feet away from me. She only gets up to follow me, eat, or poop. She can be moody and has been known to slap other cats in the face, but they usually deserve it. Weighs about 12 pounds - is a bit overweight.

Clarence - 2 year old (birthday around April 1st, 2006) big ole black kitty. I got him and his brother from the animal shelter to be my first fosters for the humane society I work with. Fell totally head over heels in love with Clarence and kept him. Very tall, sleek and handsome. Great personality, very loving to me - a momma's boy. Sometimes goes wild for no particular reason, watch out then. Likes walks on his leash & harness. Weighs about 14 pounds, but it's not really fat - he's just really big. He's the local Alpha Cat. "IF" I were to play favorites, it would probably be him most of the time. Ok, IT IS. I love my boy. I love my girls too but he is my boy ^ ^

Hershey - 1 year old (birthday around June 15th 2007) brown tortie. Very much miss ATTITUDE. Definitely has the biggest personality of all the cats. A friend of mine found her wandering in the road when she was a kitten, and couldn't keep her so I did. She's very unique looking. She is tiny (only about 7 pounds) but she wants to be the alpha cat so sometimes Clarence puts her in her place to remind her who's in charge. She loves to sit at the top of the cat tree and swat me as hard as she can whenever I walk by - she does that a couple of times a day.

Bambi - almost 1 year old creme tabby (birthday around August 15th, 2007) - another one I got from the pound to foster but fell in love with. She is the sweetest thing, and just loves me so much. I bought her a very soft blanket from petsmart and she uses it everynight as we cuddle on the couch (as opposed to Hershey - I bought her a bed and she pissed in it). She currently shows under Household Pets in TICA cat shows and is doing quite well. She loves car rides and staying at hotels. Quiet normal body size & weight - weighs about 9 pounds.

SPECIAL GUESTS:
Chester - Mom's cat. 1 year old (born April 2007) white cat who was born to a pregnant stray another volunteer fostered. His mom was mostly black with long hair; Chester is solid white and short hair. He's never had a day in his life when he hasn't been completely spoiled. His favorite activities include sleeping & demanding a bath from his brother Clarence. Chester is short & fat (about 12 pounds). He never moves much except to play with da bird.

Greg - mom's cat. 16 year old (born around 1992) grumpy old man. Usually just sleeps, but sometimes paces around the kitchen and starts slapping other cats when he gets hungry. An old grouch who will claw you when you stop petting him. Used to weigh 18 pounds but has lost weight due to a thyroid condition and is probably about 12 pounds now. A big kitty.

Boo Boo Kitty - 6 year old tortie, has really become my grandmothers cat (she lives here, too). I got her from the shelter when she was about 2 years old because I thought she was so ugly no one else ever would. She's a sweet girl and likes to hang outside (she & Greg are the only ones we trust enough to go outside). She runs and hides in the closet every time it thunders. A semi-normal sized cat, weighs about 10 pounds.

Various other cats/kittens I foster homeless felines for the humane society and have had about 100 cats/kittens come through here in the past 2 years. I usually keep them separated from my cats (so they won't spread diseases and such) but after they've been here a while I usually let them come hang out with the others. So if you see a cat/kitten in a pic and you wonder who the hell it is, it's a foster kitty.
